As one of the few remaining full boarding schools with over 70% full boarders, our weekend activities programme is busy and fun.
A number of former members of the forces work here at Fettes and we have a strong network of current forces families.
In recognition of the service Forces Families provide, we currently offer a special tiered remission to HM Forces families based on year group and rank. We are delighted to announce that from September 2026 Fettes will become a 10% school, making the fees for HM Forces families equal to the CEA allowance plus 10% of the total fees inclusive of VAT.
Many Forces Families choose to send their children to Fettes and as a co-educational full boarding school, siblings can be educated together here at Fettes, allowing them to board at the same school.

We run events for the children of our Forces Families to bring them together and allow them to build a specific community to support each other. For example an evening of bush craft, fire pits, and toasting marshmallows together.
We have an active Combined Cadet Force (CCF) at Fettes College.
Leadership training and opportunities to take on focused leadership roles are available to all students through a range of opportunities including participation in our low ropes course on campus, the CCF, the DoE Award, Community Service and participation in Societies, our students put their leadership training into practice providing valuable experience and confidence to set them up for life.
