For those joining Fettes at 13+ from a UK school, conditional and unconditional offers can now be made from the Autumn Term of Year 6 onwards.

"Increasingly we are seeing some parents, with children in Year 6 (P7), keen to secure a Senior School place in Year 9 for their child, thus removing the uncertainty. We offer two options: join our Prep School before transitioning smoothly to Fettes Senior School at 13, or alternatively for those wishing to stay at their own Prep School for the final years, take advantage of the Fettes Early Offers assessments."

Once an Early Offer has been made, we will stay in touch with the family and in Year 8 all students will return to Fettes for a fun taster day, to meet their future year group, and to take a Cognitive Aptitude Test (CAT4 test) to assist with setting when they enter Fettes in Year 9/S3. Those students who are taking Common Entrance will also provide us with their results in Year 8.
- We will continue to accept applications for entry during Year 8, subject to availability
- The early offer stage is not applicable for students joining Fettes from international schools, outside the UK
- If a conditional offer is made, this would be confirmed in Year 8
- Any student wishing to sit a 13+ Scholarship may apply to do so in Year 8
- Applications for Bursaries at 13+ will open in Year 8 and we therefore ask families seeking bursarial support to delay their application until Year 8
