Fettes is committed to broadening access to the school by offering means-tested financial support towards the payment of school fees - known as a Bursary. Bursaries can cover 100% of fees payable, depending on the financial circumstances of applicants.
- Bursaries at Fettes are not connected to Scholarships, which are awarded based on a child demonstrating excellence in a particular area.

The Fettes Kick-start bursary is made possible through the generous donation of a charitable trust. This donation was specifically to create a transformational bursary which would be awarded to two 11-year-old children giving them the opportunity to make the most of their potential and to live, learn and grow at Fettes despite not having the financial means to do so.
