ICT
Imagine writing your own pop song, creating your own computer game, programming your own robot or starring in your own film or cartoon, all before the age of thirteen!!!
State-of-the-art technology
The prep school ICT department is kitted out with state-of-the-art technology that enables these very skills to be taught. We have a large bank of laptops that are in continual use as well as a dedicated ICT suite.
Learning through creativity
Exploring and creating without the fear of failure is a fundamental philosophy of ICT. To enable this the curriculum branches into four main areas of learning:
- finding things out
- making things happen
- models, control and simulation
- reviewing, modifying and developing ideas
ICT across subjects
ICT does not just happen in isolation, and across the prep school we are pioneering the use of ICT within other subjects. An example of this is the use of computer- generated worlds to inspire creative writing.
