Tennis Round-Up

1st VI (2-7)
This was a much tougher match than we thought it would be. Matches were won by our first and second couples and Katie R played with great consistency. We know what we need do for future matches; we need to be able to adopt the standard of play from our practice sessions into match situations.

2nd VI (2-7)
In our match we were competing against Glenalmond. With an unfortunate 2-7 loss we did leave disappointed but have realised the skills we need to work on the most. Well done to Milly O and Nina S who were our most valuable players of the day.

3rd VI (6-3)
After a slow start, the team came out with some great tennis to match the weather. It was evident that the team had come a long way since the start of term with both accuracy and power shots improving. Special mention goes to Freya and Fran for serving brilliantly and winning all their matches and also a special thanks to Poppy M for stepping in at the last minute. The season remains unbeaten for the 3rds team!

U15A VI (3-6)
On Saturday, the U15As went up to Glenalmond where the sun was also shining. We all had new partners who we hadn't played with so we didn't all feel as if we played to our full potential. We all felt quite lethargic in the sun and lost to the other side but have plenty to work on. Exceptional play was seen from Julia H.

U15B VI (2-7)
It was a beautiful day; this however affected our serving accuracy at points. Bea B and Katie H were both playing well together and everyone playing well considering that we all changed partners for the day. Ellen Y and Eliza LRL played excellent shots from the back of the court whilst Millie T played strong volleys at the net. It was not a win at the end of the day but we do feel that we tried our best.

U14B VI (1-8)
The U14B tennis team travelled to Glenalmond to play their team. We started off and realised that their teams were going to be really hard to beat. The end score was 1 game to us and 8 games to Glenalmond. A special mention must go to the second couple, Olivia L and Laila P who were the only team to win a game.
