Steeplechase

On the 7th of January the school took part in a House Steeplechase Competition. We knew that it would be hard to keep all Classes this year but we were very confident. Glencorse were first in Class 2 with 73 points, this was a very impressive score as we were more than 50 points away from the other houses. Class 2 did very well in filling most runners in the top 15. The Runners included: Sebastian B, Jamie M, Ben S, Alasdair G, Will E, George C, Will T, Nick R, Rory D, Oliver G and Chris G.

As usual, Glencorse provided strong teams, with almost everybody in the house taking part. In Class 1 many of the upper 6th came down from Craigleith to join in with all the Glencorsians. With strong runs from many boys over the muddy and windy course, we managed to get most of our runners finishing high up in the field of the Class 1 race. With the top eight from each house counting towards the final points, we successfully retained the Class 1 trophy with a winning margin of 38 places over second place.
