Prep Golf Outing
On the first Saturday of term two minibuses full of golfers, clubs and trolleys set off after Chapel for Gullane and North Berwick with umbrellas, waterproofs, gloves and hats. Luckily the latter were not required!
When the first minibus arrived at Gullane we had ten minutes practice on the putting green before Ben T, Charlie T and myself tee’d off closely followed by Rory M, Charlie B, Ted and Yusuke. Hamish, Finlay Y and Finlay M came next followed by the girls, Florence, Rosie, India and Issy.
The first few holes were conquered with ease but when the longer holes kicked in the scores started increasing. Sadly not everyone managed to play all the middle holes but everyone got to play the downhill 15th where the closest to the pin competition took place. Charlie B hit an amazing shot right next to it deserving his cream egg and hat.
As we were short of time, not everyone was able to finish the course as Mr Bywater’s group from North Berwick left us behind. We collected our pre-ordered suppers and enjoyed a tasty journey back to school.
