My first day at Fettes

My first day at Fettes

First days at school are always a bit shaky, but with the support of the Fettes’ Staff it was fine and my knees were stiff and not wobbly. As the parents and children filed into the assembly hall, the colour of our name badges were a great help as you could see who was in your year and get to know them. There was a nice welcoming speech by Mr Edwards.

Next we met our form tutors and with our new classmates, we went to our classroom. Soon we were off on a tour of the school with Mr Morrison, at this point our parents left. In no time at all it seemed we were back in the hall and picking up a packed lunch and heading off for the coach that was taking us off to Dynamic Earth

It was a super trip, there was so much to see, hear and touch. We were able to experience what it would be like being in a plane flying above to see the landscape below and being in a time machine. Also what it was like in the past and the creatures that evolved. You could see what other places environments and see what was happening in that place. I liked the time machine the best as it was interesting to look into the past.
