Iona House visit Royal Victoria's Hospital
On Saturday the 27th the Iona girls went to the Royal Victoria Hospital for their annual Christmas fayre. But we weren’t just there to shop! (To the disappointment of many second form girls!), we were there to sing and to entertain the patients. We sang some Christmas carols which brought tears to some people’s eyes (Happy tears of course!). We sung in some other wards, bringing our Christmas cheer all around the hospital. We sung Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, also we sung Jingle Bells, Silent Night and Away in a Manger.
After our singing we were given pocket money to spend at the fayre. We spent like crazy because it was going to a good cause. At the end we were given a free thing each off one of the stands. Rhiannon won champagne (which she wasn’t allowed to keep!) Mimi won jam, along with Alice. We had a great time and we felt great because we had brought happiness and Christmas cheer to the people in the wards of the Royal Victoria. We would like to give a huge thank you to Mrs Masson, Mrs Heuston and Miss Allen for a fantastic afternoon!
