Hockey Interview
Moredun 5th former Hamish I has achieved a huge amount in sports. This year Hamish is playing for Grange, and has been selected for the Scotland Under 16 team. Here are some insights on Hamish’s thoughts and feelings about hockey.
How often do you have training, and what position do you play?
I have training 3 times a week, and play striker.
How are you enjoying the training?
I really enjoy the training. It is really interesting playing with Grange, and it really improves my game.
Compared to the school level, how demanding is Grange training?
The standard is a lot different and intense, but in terms of enjoyment, I always enjoy coming back and playing with my schoolmates.
What are you hoping to achieve with the school this hockey season?
Last year we got to the finals of the Scottish cup and lost 1-0, so hopefully we will win it this year.
How do you feel about making the Scotland Under 16 squad?
I am happy that I got into Scotland U16. I am particularly looking forward to going on some of the great tours that they have set up for the U16s.
