Drumming Award
On Friday the 25th of November the Pipe Band had a Society called the 1912’s. This is an annual event. There were many performances during the night with many prep school pupils performing and senior school joining them. The A Band played The ‘Drums on Corps Fanfare’ which was very fun to play and I assume very entertaining to watch. We played during the evening and at the end they presented the award for Most Improved Piper and Drummer. I was privileged enough to receive this prize for drumming. They presented me with the ‘Oliver Mace.’ I was very happy to win the prize as I have been working hard on my drumming this past year. This year I have been focusing on my drumming practicing three times a week at the band practices. I started drumming when I was in the prep school and I got into the A band in the 1912 society in the Third Form.
