Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year celebrations took place in the dining hall on Saturday night. Students from Fettes and other nearby schools got together to firstly enjoy a meal and then share in customs and traditions associated with this festival and the welcoming in of the year of the dragon. A number of the younger Kimmerghame boys were part of a singing group but it was Matthew S who stole the show with his performances on the Ban Hu (a two stringed Chinese fiddle). Such is the reputation of his playing he had been asked to give a public recital at the Churchill Theatre the previous Saturday evening. I have it on good authority that he was superb.
