HEAD OF GIRLS’ GAMES

(Maternity Cover)

For September 2008

 

Fettes College seeks to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and effective person to be Head of the Girls’ Games programme throughout the College.  Experience in coaching one or more of the major sports (hockey, lacrosse, athletics and tennis) would be an advantage, as would the ability to teach PE or another academic subject.  The position is for Maternity Cover in the first instance but might evolve into a full-time post. 

 

A willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of this flourishing and busy boarding school is essential.  Salary above the national scale.

TEACHER OF ECONOMICS

For September 2008

 

FettesCollege seeks to appoint a well-qualified teacher of Economics for September 2008. The successful candidate will join an energetic and successful Department, and will be expected to teach Economics in the SeniorSchool (13-18), where the courses followed lead to GCSE, A Level and the International Baccalaureate.  An ability to also teach some Business Studies would be beneficial but not essential.

 

A willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of this flourishing boarding school will be an advantage. Salary above the national scale. Accommodation may be available.

THEATRE TECHNICIAN

Fettes College seeks a well-qualified Theatre Technician for June 2008. The successful candidate will assist with productions, practical exams and school events and over-see the up-keep of technical equipment. The postholder will be able to take initiative and manage the physical labour the job entails. A willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of this thriving boarding school will be an advantage.
