Fettes College is a member of the Scottish North American Business Council. The purpose of the Council is to strengthen bilateral business links between Scotland and the USA and Canada. It aims to increase trade and to facilitate effective business development across the Atlantic.

Founding partners included Merrill Lynch, Aon Risk Services, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Ernst & Young and Clyde Blowers. The establishment is supported by CBI Scotland, Scotland the Brand and the University of Glasgow.
