The Fettes Foundation

Sir William Fettes

The Fettes Foundation has been established to ensure that the Legacy gifted by Sir William Fettes, which led to the opening of the School in 1870, is preserved and grows. To this end, the Governors of the Fettes Trust, with the help of The Fettes Foundation, are now carrying out an ambitious development programme.

The Foundation's aim is also to expand substantially the funds available for scholarships so that many more pupils with potential may have the benefit of a Fettes education.

The Foundation relies for its funding on the generosity of its supporters, comprising Old Fettesians, current and former parents and the many friends of Fettes. The Trustees are committed to a long term campaign to raise money for the Foundation's purposes. Already almost £5 million has been gifted or pledged by our Founders, Patrons, Stewards and Donors.
