As a Geographer I have a real interest in the natural world and am never happier than when travelling the open road experiencing new environments, climates and peoples.
The world is, in many respects, getting smaller, but in so many others it never ceases to enthral, and fascinate me, as I experience the richness of its fabric and depth of its humanity. Hailing from the shires of England, and having lived in Durham, Cambridge and Windsor, I count myself enormously lucky to be living in of the world’s finest, and friendliest, cities and working at such a superb school.
If I’m not to be found within the ‘city walls’ I’ll be tramping highland mountain trails or camping on island beaches…or planning the next European road trip!
