 MD, PhD, Physician

What is your most cherished memory from your time at Fettes?
The freshly cut grass over the cricket pitch in summer.
Winning a sevens rugby tournament against Loretto.

And your least?
Having to wear shorts in winter.
Getting lost walking from Moredun to class during my first week.

What event or personality left a lasting impression on you?
I remember Mr Bush and Mrs Plumtree. Both excellent teachers.

Were you a conscientious student?
Yes. I was in hot competition with one other student, Mark Barbour-Smith. We were good friends though.

Outside the classroom, how did you spend your free time at Fettes?
I played a number of sports, cricket, rugby, squash and field hockey.
