What is your most cherished memory from your time at Fettes?
Time spent drawing and painting.
And your least?
Trying and failing to teach a housemaster about colour.
What event or personality left a lasting impression on you?
Carol service led by A Chevenix-Trench, a fine man.
Were you a conscientious student?
Yes, when engaged in something I enjoyed.
Outside the classroom, how did you spend your free time at Fettes?
I spent a lot of time drawing and painting. Otherwise swimming and golf made very agreeable past-times. I do regret not making more use of the excellent extra-curricular activities on offer.
