Dr Tasos Aidonis
Dr Aidonis is the Head of Classics. Educated in Greece, finished degree and got doctorate from Glasgow University, taught History and Classics at Lancaster Royal Grammar School before coming to Fettes.
Mr Andrew Shackleton
Educated Bradford Grammar School, read Classics at Trinity College Cambridge and taught at King Edward's School Birmingham before joining Fettes. Mr Shackleton is the Director of Studies.

Mr Geoff Blair
An Ulsterman educated at Campbell College in Belfast, Geoff read Greats at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. He taught Classics at Edinburgh Academy, then he came to Fettes in 1983 to be Head of Department, a post which he relinquished on becoming Housemaster of Moredun in 1991-2001.He now has more time to concentrate on Classics. He is a prominent member of the Concert Choir.
Mrs Jane Palfery
Jane Palfrey: graduate in Classics from London University. PGCE and M.A. in Applied Linguistics in Cambridge. She has taught Classics in Britain and EFL in a series of various countries including Communist Russia. Jane plays the piano and harp and enjoys walking, reading and bird-watching.
Mr Duncan Parry
Mr Parry has been a member of the department since September 2007. He was educated at Wells Cathedral School and read Classics at UCL in London. Before coming to Fettes he taught at St. Edmund's School, Canterbury. He is in charge of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. He is a professional singer and a very keen mountaineer.
