Examination Board: OCR AS/A2
A level Latin, like GCSE Latin, is divided between language and literature. The literary skills which you have already learnt at GCSE will stand you in immensely good stead and there is large continuity between the Latin literature studied at GCSE and that of AS/A Level.

Set texts for 2009 include:
• Cicero In Catalinam
• Ovid Amores
• Virgil Aeneid VI
• Tacitus Annals I

For each year of the A Level course one whole text or two half texts are chosen for in depth study.
