At ages 7-13, the Prep School curriculum aims to merge the best aspects of the Scottish 5-14 programme with elements of the English National Curriculum. In the 3rd to 5th Forms, from ages 13-16, we prepare students for the English GCSE examinations. In the Sixth Form, students choose a core of 4 AS Levels and most supplement these with a fifth subject, either another AS or a broadener. In their final year, students focus upon 3 or 4 A Levels. From September 2006, Fettes has also been offering the International Baccalaureate as an alternative to A Levels.
