Greece 2005 21-28th October
Agamemnon's death mask
Fettes pupils will have the opportunity of visiting Greece between the 21st and 28th October. This promises to be a most exciting and fascinating trip as we will not only visit antiquities but also endeavour to climb Mount Olympus (2917m).
The trip will start with a visit of Athens' splendours and then we will move to Tolon which will be our base for visits to Mycenae, Nemea, Tiryns and Epidaurus.
Then we will move North and use Litohoron as our base camp for climbing Olympus. Already Mr Heuston is out there exploring the mountain and preparing the route for our arrival. If there is time we will also visit the tombs of the Macedonian Kings in Vergina.
It promises to be an unforgettable journey. From the number things we have to be it will probably be a mini-Odyssey!
