Library

Fettes College has two libraries: the Main Library and an Old Library.

The Old Library was the school's original library and at present contains older books in the collection and some donations.

The Main Library has a separate room for fiction books and another room containing information materials. This includes books, magazines, DVDs, cassettes and videos. Most of these resources can be borrowed and are on a computerised library catalogue which can be accessed from classrooms and the Boarding Houses. In addition there are 8 computers with internet access and a photocopier, scanner, satellite television system, tape and video recorders in the library for pupils' use.

The library is open Monday to Friday from 8.45 am - 5.45 pm, Saturday 8.45 am -12.55 pm and some evenings for private study during Prep. It is managed by a qualified librarian, Ms Lyon. There is a separate archival department, run by Mr AVM Murray..
