Art

It is our firm belief that all our pupils can and should be visually literate. Pursuing this belief has won the Department a high and steadily growing reputation for the excellent quality of our pupils' work. The Art School opens its studios to all during the evenings and at weekends, and recent initiatives have included a visit from the Royal Academy of Art to give a Life workshop, visits abroad and links with practising artists. History of Art is taught both as a separate subject and is an integral part of the Art course.

We offer a range of public exhibitions in the Fettes Gallery. We are also fortunate to have easy access to the superb gallery and cultural facilities of Edinburgh, of which we take full advantage.
