Mountaineering

There are mountaineering trips on a half dozen Sundays throughout the school year. There are both summer and winter ascents of Scottish peaks. Over the last few years, the trips have included Curved Ridge on Buchaille Etive Mor, the Aonach Eagach ridge in Glencoe, the Tarmachan Ridge above Glen Lyon, Pygmy Ridge in the Cairngorms. There are also a number of opportunities throughout the winter to learn how to use an ice axe and crampons and how to climb peaks safely in winter conditions.
