Kayaking

Each Spring Term the Outdoor Pursuits games option group practice paddling technique in the school pool. This is an opportunity to understand and learn the basic paddling strokes. Kayaking is also one of the options on 3rd Form field week and the 5th form weekend at Outward Bound. In most years there is a Sea Kayak expedition based out of Lochmaddy, North Uist. There pupils learn basic sea kayaking technique and take part in an overnight expedition camping on a wild island.
