Fettes College Edinburgh

Known since the eighteenth century as 'The Athens of the North", Edinburgh enjoys an impressive intellectual, literal and cultural heritage which enriches the lives of all who live in and visit this great capital city. Scenically spectacular - what other city in the world can boast a castle at one end of its old High Street and a palace and extinct volcano at the other? - it has three universities, numerous art galleries, museums, theatres and cinemas, and a host of other cultural amenities.
Divided into the medieval Old Town and the Georgian New Town, the city provides a wealth of different architectural styles, and in addition for three weeks every summer it plays host to thousands of visitors from all over the globe, who come to enjoy or participate in its renowned International Arts Festival.
