Iona House
Welcome to Iona House. The Iona Staff will always endeavour to give your da
ughter support, care and encouragement to develop her strengths and to appreciate the strengths of others whilst being happy and secure. We hope she will feel it is a home from home in term time.
You will find Iona girls to be welcoming, polite and considerate of those around them. Listening to others, having good manners, being punctual, friendly and thoughtful is the norm.
My husband John, son Henry and daughters Lizzie, Caroline and Emily are often i
n residence in my flat at Iona. Full-time residents include Penny, a very friendly laid back black cat and Alfie, a one year old Pointer. They are keen to be hugged and talked to but are restricted to certain areas of Iona in case of allergies or phobias.
On a personal note, it is a delight to be able to return to a boarding house at Fettes after several years. Some might think a family of four children would be enough, but having experienced the rewards gained from working with children in a boarding environment for ten years, I missed them!
