As well as redesigning our prospectus in 2005 we also created a DVD film to be sent out to all prospective parents and pupils. We felt that a DVD film would give an insight into life at Fettes before parents or pupils have had a chance to come and visit Fettes and experience the ‘buzz’ for themselves. So, a 4-minute commercial in DVD format was created based on the idea ’What lessons will you learn at Fettes College?’

But, we wanted these lessons to be insightful – a real slice of Fettes life ranging from humorous to reflective, academic focus to sport as well as show the link between Fettes Prep School and Fettes College. All the lessons we used in the DVD and those that appear in the prospectus, came from discussions with pupils and teachers when they were asked to sum up a single ‘lesson’ they would tell prospective pupils about Fettes College. The stars of the film are the pupils and staff themselves, as well as the stunning surroundings of Fettes College.

Of course a visit to experience the true nature of Fettes College and the Prep School cannot be replaced by a DVD but we hope it gives you a taste of life here at Fettes and encourages you to come and visit us.
