The Acer laptops in the School Scheme come with 3 years of warranty cover. If an inspection shows that there is a hardware failure then we contact Acer direct and dispatch of the laptop to the Acer repair centre is arranged. The usual turn round time for the laptop is 30 days but it can be longer. Provided we have sufficient computers then a pupil is issued with a temporary replacement machine through the spares scheme. Responsibility for the care of that machine rests with the pupil and any damage is charged to that pupil's account.

Warranty repairs of privately-owned laptops are the responsibility of the parent. We will inspect the laptop and advise on the nature of the problem, if that is required.
