Chamber Music

Fettes takes this very seriously. In recent years the College has been particularly proud of its achievement in this area. For the more advanced players, the intimacy of chamber music can really stretch the ability in a genre where there really can't be any 'passengers'. The Senior String Quartet recently won through to the Grand Final of the National Chamber Music for Schools Competition, giving them the opportunity to perform in St. John's, Smith Square in London. The String Quartet from the Preparatory School has also enjoyed similar success recently, winning through to the U13 Grand Finals, held at Radley College. Both groups were coached by members of the Instrumental team at Fettes.
