A2 Biology

A Level Biology follows the OCR syllabus. Three modules are required for an AS and six for an A2 Level qualification.

A2 Biology consists of the following topics:
    1. Central concepts - respiration, photosynthesis, populations, genetics, evolution and homeostasis.
    2. Application of genetics
    3. Unifying concepts - synoptic paper
Half of the module consists of a practical examination. A2 Level is examined with written papers in June
