Third Form
The purpose of the third form Art curriculum is to broaden students understanding of the visual world, through a range of processes and experiences. All 3rd form students undertake a programme of study which includes a combination of Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Printmaking, Jewellery and more. Students are encouraged to think for themselves and develop technical skills. Contextual references are used to make connections with the work of others, as well as to enthuse and inform students own work. The course is also intended to provide a taste of the more academic and thematic approach of the GCSE for those who intend to take art further.
